It seems we were just celebrating the 4th, and here it is – Labor Day! In Boston this weekend will be almost like Fall, but we are not letting it get to us. We are preparing for a few barbecues with friends and will be visiting family in Maine.
Speaking of Maine, those of you in Portland, stop by two stores that just renewed their inventory of Croatian wines – Oak Hill Beverage in Scarborough and Bowstreet Beverage in Portland.
To help us all ignore the imminent end of Summer, we prepared a Labor Day BBQ Bundle of four wines at 15% off to pair with the following:
Delmati Biokovo White – sipping while grilling, or by the pool
Volarević Plavac Mali La Chic Rosé – pairs with anything from seafood to chicken
Testament Dalmatian Dog Babić – perfect if chilled and paired with anything from burgers to hot dogs, as well as sardines on the grill
Terra Madre Plavac Mali Barrique – a bit of Syrah and Cab round out this Plavac Mali which you can pair with anything from lamb to beef.

A wine tasting dinner that had to be postponed is now scheduled for Tuesday, September 29th in Charlestown Marina on a houseboat. 12 reserve wines, 6 food pairings, and lots of conversation. $120 all inclusive. If interested, email us info@CroatianPremiumWine.com.

California in October: We are scheduling private and public tastings and dinners. One event we are proud to participate in is happening in the Bay Area:
Livermore, 10/17 – 11-1 Croatia will participate with a tasting of six wines in the Livermore Valley Wine Experience Sip-the-World event with other wine regions, including the host, Baja California, Italy, France and Texas. Ticket include attendance with unlimited wine from all regions as well as small bites. Get tickets here.

So, how is this for a kick-start of the busy Fall? For us, this is a wonderful and delicious mission. Promoting Croatian food and wine in the US is truly a unique niche, and we continue with our labor of love.
