As we wake up on the West Coast, we are reminded why we love Dalmatia – sunny days and great wine. Who needs anything more? Well, we are here not just for fun — we are visiting our business partners, and friends.
We stopped at our warehouse and fulfillment service partner Wineshipping LLC in Windsor, CA, where Scott, the GM, and a team of 20 people were proudly explaining to us how their facility for pack and ship works. And we did get to see some of our favorite bottles on the shelves. Great to meet the team that makes this business huff like a well-oiled machine.
On the way back to Napa, we stopped by Grgich Hills Estate, of course. Great to share wine (did you try their new wines from Napa? love them and the new labels), food and stories with Ivo Jeramaz, the GM and winemaker for both the Napa and Grgić Vina in Trstenik. The report on this harvest was amazing, and we are looking forward to new vintages in the Spring.
As we make our way South, we will head to Livermore, and we invite you to meet us at this event of The Global Artisan Vintners Alliance. We are proud to represent Dalmatia, including white, rosé and red varieties. Come by to meet us, taste the wines and have a blast with us as you learn how to pronounce the wines from Dalmatia – from Trbljan, Kuljenača, Plavac Mali, Plavka and Babić to Mrkuša. It gets way more fun after a few tastes!
