California Events 10/20-21; Fall Foliage Specials

This week’s specials are inspired by the Fall, when cooler weather combined with leaf colors turning gold, orange and red, asks for well-structured wines of the same colors, including blends.  We selected a list of skin-contact whites (gold), orange/amber wines or red blends, at a 15% discount this week:

Reminder: Istria Masterclass on October 27. To register for this Virtual Masterclass, please go HERE.  If interested in purchasing the Istrian bundle at 15% off, it is listed HERE, though no purchase is necessary to participate in the Masterclass. East Coast should order by 10/20 to ensure delivery before the class.

Here are several in-person events taking place in California and Massachusetts. Stop by to meet us for a glass, or two:

Palm Springs, Miro’s Restaurant, 10/20, 5-7pm. Miro’s is one of the top restaurants in Palm Springs, with an OpenTable rating of 4.9. We’ve been working with Miro for a while and you can imagine his list of wines is impeccable.  We will be there for an early dinner and would love to meet you – perhaps we can teach you how to pronounce some of the wines (with little on no vowels!) such as Grk, Trbljan, Kuljenača, Plavac Mali, Babić or Mrkuša. Make your reservation HERE.

San Diego, WineSellar and Brasserie, 10/21, 4-7pm  – Croatian Wine Wednesday. We are excited to partner with this well-known wine enclave.  Make your reservations HERE.

Cambridge, MA, Margeaux Supper Parlor, Wednesday, 10/28, 5:30 pm — Ready to be spooked Croatian way? Join a “Haunting Conversation” between the two Croatian-American women centered around a book introduction, with appetizers and wine. Organized by New England Friends of Croatia and Croatian School of Boston. Andrea Bruno, an educator with a Master’s degree from the University of Zagreb, and a licensed ELL teacher, will introduce Croatian-American author Natalie Kikić and the two will discuss Natalie’s book The Haunting of Lavender House, taking place on a fictional island in Croatia.

Each guest will get a glass of Croatian wine and following the conversation a few Croatian-inspired buffet-style, light bites – for a ticket of $45. More food and beverages will be available on site at an additional charge. To purchase your ticket, go HERE. The first five people who purchase the tickets will get a special treat at the event. For information on the author and the book see details HERE.

We hope to see you at either the virtual or the in-person events.

Živjeli!
