Modern style Dingač, full of flavors of dark fruits and soft tannins. 15% ABV. Dingač is a particularly prestigious red wine that originates from the Pelješac peninsula in Dalmatia, from the place of the same name, Dingač, known for its very steep slopes. This is exactly why it is one of the most recognizable and appreciated red wines in Croatia.
Dingač stands out for its dark, ruby color and strong aroma of dark fruit. The taste is complex, full, and harmonious, with pronounced notes of spices, dark chocolate, and mature wood. The tannins are soft, and the finish is long-lasting and refined. This full-flavored red wine is suitable for pairing with meat dishes, especially roasted red meat and game meat, aromatic cheeses, and dark chocolate. It is often considered the “king of red wines” in the region due to its exceptional quality and richness of taste.
We are especially dedicated to the high standards of Dingač production, from the selection of the best bunches to the long-term maturation in oak barrels. This results in top-quality wine that is recognized throughout Croatia and beyond.
From Daniela Kramarić, Croatian sommelier: “Dingač Violić-Jurica is a combination of the “grand cru” position that yields the best grapes in Dingač, and the long viticultural and winemaking tradition of the Violić family. The thick ink-coloured wine with purple reflections unfolds a true explosion of scents. The smells of sea and garden sage reveal the terroir, whereas the plum jam, blackcurrant and blackberry point to the variety. This is the wine of meditation, and it doesn’t need food to be enjoyed.“
