Don’t you think it’s “kinda chic” that Croatian wines are gaining a lot of traction in the US? Our theory is that it is not only because of various high ratings, but also that people coming back from Croatia are asking about its indigenous varieties. And Croatia is fortunate to have more than 120 that are commercially produced.
To encourage learning, we have created the virtual Croatian Wine Masterclass Series, which we will hold over the next few months. You can mark your calendars to participate or watch the recordings later.
September 9th 8:00 pm Eastern – intro to Croatian wine regions and varieties, focus on Dalmatia, including celebration of Plavac Mali Day on 9/21. This MasterClass will include an overview of and a tasting of selected wines. To register for the event and receive a Zoom link, register here.
Purchase is not necessary to attend the Masterclass, but if you’d like to taste along, here is a link to the Plavac Mali bundle at 15% off.
East Coast Cutoff Date to place an order to ensure arrival on time for the Masterclass is Wednesday, August 26th.
October 13th – 8:00 pm Eastern focus on Istria
November 4th – 8:00 pm Eastern focus on the Northern regions and introduction of Martinje

Federal Wines and Spirits in Boston just wrote a great description of Murray’s Tavern:
“Murray’s Tavern is a hidden gem in what many think is the unlikely place of Revere. It has a neighborhood vibe, but a level of wine and food that surpasses that. I go there almost monthly for dinners with a group of my wine-loving friends and have never been disappointed. Its prices are reasonable, and food is always presented with a keen appreciation of how it pairs with very good wines.”
