GRK, HRK, BRK and MRK!!! Did you know that new varietals were just discovered in #Dalmatia, #Croatia? The beloved #Grk apparently found itself with relatives with similar names. They all come from the Dalmatia islands — Hrk from Hvar, Brk from Brač and Mrk from Mljet. The vines need a lot of TLC, including planting other varietals nearby for pollination. All wines are beautifully aromatic, crips with citrussy overtones. Živjeli!

Interesting how wine becomes a significant part of any holidays. Example in Croatia - on Good Friday there is a custom of making a point of drinking as much red wine as possible and with a saying loosely translated to “the more wine, the more drops” referring to the more wine you drink on the day, the healthier your blood will be”. Meaning one must drink a lot on that day for health reasons 😉 what would have been your choice? Živjeli!
