A special original white wine from Korčula, produced at the Black Island Winery. Made from 100% Pošip, the native white grape of the region. Merga Victa Pošip is a golden yellow wine, crystal clear and dense. Its bouquet is dominated by aromas of fresh citrus, stone fruit, yellow flowers and Mediterranean herbs. It is dry, medium-bodied, of fine freshness, with pronounced minerality, moderate alcohol content (13.5% ABV), and with a very good and pleasant finish. The grapes for this wine come from older vineyards with traditionally best locations for Pošip cultivation. All of the actions during cultivation in the vineyard were done manually. The grapes were crushed and macerated for several hours and then pressed with minimal pressure. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, under strict temperature control. Once the fermentation was done the wine was aged on fine lees for an additional two months. Best served at 12⁰ C.
